John is an expert retail Chief Executive and
turnaround specialist, covering all aspects of retail
including buying, merchandising, finance, marketing, property, HR and IT at a tactical and strategic level.

An experienced International operator, he has been sourcing from global suppliers and particularly the Far East since 1989.

John set up the WH Smith Far East Office in Hong Kong in 2001. In his capacity as European MD he also set up and ran the German Jewellery TV Channel ‘Der Schmuckkanal’ in 2006.
